Overflowing with Gratitude

We continue to be blown away by the generous gifts toward our adoption fund. Between our online fundraiser and some direct donations that have come in, we are now close to reaching $20,000! We can't put into words how grateful we are to have so many people in our lives who care about us and are willing to help out.

It has been so fun to see the many people that have contacted us or donated to our cause. Among the many amazingly generous donations from family, friends, past students/players, coworkers and even strangers, we have also received some surprising donations from a few unexpected groups of people. Last week, we received a check in the mail from our local branch of Minster Bank. The employees there held a jeans day fundraiser in which they each donated money toward our adoption and were able to wear jeans for the day! Then earlier this week, Chris received a wonderful gesture from his students and parents when a colleague brought him a check and explained that his 7th and 8th grade students wanted to help out so they secretly organized a fundraiser. During their 7th and 8th grade dance, the students collected money to donate toward our adoption fund! Wow, are we blessed beyond measure!

I strongly believe that God has moved us around so much these past few years in order to give us the opportunity to meet so many people. Due to this, even the smallest donation has had a huge impact on our ability to be able to adopt. You each have an everlasting place in our hearts and in our lives and will never be forgotten! Our journey is far from over, but we are that much closer to our goal. It is because of you that we will one day get the child we have waited for, for so long. Thank you does not even begin to explain our gratitude but THANK YOU!
