Football Season is Here!
We haven't posted an update in awhile, and honestly, it's because there hasn't been anything to post. We have turned all of our stuff in and we are now just waiting on the agency. I am trying really hard not to get frustrated, but every day that passes that we don't hear anything, I get that much more annoyed. Our social worker turned our file in for approval around July 15th. I emailed her August 5th to see if there was any update and she said that it was third in line on the person's desk to approve it. She thought it might be a week or so longer. Now, it is over two weeks later and we still have not heard anything. I am trying to stay patient but I just wonder what takes so long? I know that I don't know his job, but in my mind, all he needs to do is read through a file to make sure we are able to properly care for a child and then approve us. I can't help but compare it to teaching and think what would happen if a teacher let a pile of papers sit on their desk and didn't grade them for a month, intending to get to it when they had time. There's no way that would go over well. Anyway, we sit and we wait and we pray that we hear something soon!
In the meantime, football and school have started! Chris is busy with team preparations and I am busy with school, so at least we have a lot going on to keep our minds somewhat off of our wait. I posted some football pictures below. One is a great display that is on the fence at the football field. I don't know who all created it, but it is really beautiful! There is also a picture of Chris' scrimmage. And then a few pictures of when my mom and grandma came to Bremenfest this weekend. Chris was in the dunk tank and both grandma and mom took a chance at knocking him in the water. It was a very nice weekend!
